FuneralFinder.us is a free directory of funeral homes across the United States. It exists to help families find and compare providers by location, services offered, and available pricing options — gathered in one place so that the search itself is one less burden during a difficult time.

The directory currently lists 5,603 funeral homes across 178 cities and 24 states, and it continues to grow. Listings can be filtered by the services that matter most to a family, including cremation, veteran and military honors, green burial, and providers offering payment plans.

How listings are sourced and verified

Listing information is compiled from publicly available business data and then reviewed before publication. We include only funeral homes that are operational and reachable by phone, and we check core details — name, address, contact number, and services — against public records where possible. Information can still change, so we encourage families to confirm current details directly with any funeral home before making arrangements.

Under the Federal Trade Commission's Funeral Rule, every funeral home in the United States must provide itemized pricing on request, whether in person or over the phone. Who is behind this

FuneralFinder.us was built by Khalid Mohamed, a web developer with a background in government and public-sector work. The project began as a straightforward observation: when a death occurs, families are often asked to make quick decisions about unfamiliar services while under considerable strain. A clear, free, and honest directory can make that moment a little less overwhelming. That remains the purpose of this site.
